Working moms! This is for you! Are you trying to pump and preserve your precious liquid gold but your office doesn’t have a fridge? Or, you don’t want to use the office fridge because you want to make sure that no one steals your milk for their coffee or tea? (lol)

I am sharing with you what I did and what I have used while pumping and working in a 9 to 6 shift office work. :) We have a fridge in the office but I want to look after my breastmilk and I am just so lazy to go back and forth to our office fridge. (hahaha lol)

My essentials:

Lil’ Kash Power Pump Bag

Apollo Insulated Bag

V-coool contoured ice pack

Photos:

Both these bags are from Li'l Kash. I used the blue one or the Power Pump Bag more often since it also serves as my office bag. I do not want to bring a lot of bags.

Just a tip: During the first months of my office pumping journey, I bought extra flanges and left it on our office so that I won't be bringing home flanges - and it really saves space. :) During the later months, I bought an extra pump for work so I won't have to bring the pump motor everyday. (Yes, laziness will cost you more. lol)

I have this Apollo insulated bag, I am leaving this bag in the office and this serves as my insulated bag in the office. I transfer the ice pack and the milk bags/storage bottles on the Apollo bag since the Power Pump bag will be a hassle to open and close due to the weight of the upper part of the bag.

Tip: Spectra sealing disc fits on Pigeon Wideneck Bottles.

The technique here is, the longer you put the ice pack on the fridge, the longer it will last. I have 3 contoured packs and I am just using 2 of them daily. So, one of the ice pack stays on the fridge for more than 24 hours. I think, this particular ice pack helped prolong the coldness of my bag.

I am leaving home at 8 am and get back home at 7 pm. By that time, the milk is still cold but the ice pack’s cooling effect is already subsiding. In my 11 months of doing this, I never experienced spoiled milk.

However, please note that our office is air conditioned so I think it contributed to the efficiency of my essentials. :)

Thank you for reading! Please do not hesitate to send me a message!
