Breastpump Review: Medela Harmony Manual Pump

Hello guys! Sorry for writing just now, I just got busy with life. I mean, with my 2 babies - my 6 year old daughter and my now 1 year and 2 months baby boy. :) I also work as a homebased Social Media Manager that is why I rarely have time to write.

Now, I will review Medela Harmony Manual Pump. Actually, I had this since December last year.

I bought my Medela Harmony at The Parenting Emporium online. Actually, I don't have plans on buying it but since it is on sale, I grabbed the chance and I must say that it is one of the best impulsive buying decision I made. :)

Price: I can't recall but it is around P2000.

To start, here is what is inside the box:

• 1 - Medela Harmony Breast Pump

• 1 - 24mm Breast Shield (but I managed to have it changed to 21 mm at TPE)

• 1 - 5oz/150mL Breast Milk Bottle with Lid and Stand

• 1 - Valve

• 2 - Extra Membranes

• Manual

• Breastfeeding Information Guide

Features: (from Medela US)

• 2-Phase Expression® technology is proven to produce more milk in less time.

1. Stimulation phase – When babies first go to breast, they suck fast and light to stimulate milk flow.

2. Expression phase – After milk flow or “let-down” starts, babies breastfeed with a slower, deeper suck, bringing out more milk faster.

Pros:

✔ 2 Simulation Phase.

✔ Easy to use.

✔ Has a stand.

✔ Easy to assemble.

Cons:

✖ Pricey for a manual pump.

✖ Can't be used with different storage bottles.

My take:

9/10. I really love this manual pump as it is very gentle on the boobs. Plus, the simulation phase is really effective since it really trigger let downs (alteast for me). This is also very handy and easy to assemble. The expression mode as well is effective and I manage to produce the same milk as what I produce using my electric breast pumps. :) The only thing I hate about it is that it can't be used with standard storage bottles so the milk should be transferred to another bottle every use. And to add, Medela Storage Bottles are priced like gold! Lol. But it is worthy.

It is very easy to assemble, I am just confused because it is my first demo video of assembling. :)
