Hello again pumping mommas! This is going to be my second pump review for this not so blog blog. lol. I recently did a review for my Cimilre F1 double electric breastpump and here I am again reviewing my spare pump Spectra 9+.

I actually bought this pre-loved since this is going to be my office pump. I bought this for P 4,000 - 1 year used by the original owner, and I am beyond blessed because (skip if you want, not relevant to the review haha) it includes Li'l Kash Power Pump bag, about 100 pcs of Lansinoh, Honeysuckle, Babytooth, Orange and Peach breastmilk bag combined and 1 pair of maymom disposable breastpad. I am still overwhelmed, sorry.

The original owner bought this from Babymama for P 9,500.

Tip: Spectra 9+ has a color blue button, with built-in rechargeable button. Spectra 9s has a pink button and has to be plugged or used with 4 AA batteries.

First impression: It is cute. It is rectangle in shape but has rounded corners/edges. The button is hard silicone, I believe.

Overview of the product :

- Battery lasts 1 hour pumping time.

- Charging time from 2 to 3 hours.

- Can be used 12 times a day.

- 10 Levels of Expression mode and 5 Levels of Massage mode.

- Silent

- Light and compact.

- Automatic Shut off after 30 minutes of pumping.

Set includes (from Spectra AU):

  • Spectra 9 Plus main pump

  • Wide neck breast shield (24mm size) x 2

  • Bottle x 2

  • Slow flow soft teat x 2

  • Tubing x 2

  • Disc x 2

  • Cap x 2

  • Backflow protector x 2

  • Duck valve x 2

  • Power adaptor.

Note: The flange supports wide-neck bottles, you need to buy a wide neck to narrow neck connector to use it to narrow neck bottles. Please also confirm it first to your seller because some include it in the package.

Output:

I am constantly getting 5 oz from this pump. I am using it for 4 months now but it has the same strength as I first have it. My setting for this in expression mode is constant at 7 as it also has a strong motor. Just to share, I recently got a problem with my output, I thought the pump was the problem but when I changed the valve, it went good again. (Stickers so the screen protector will not be removed :))

Pros:

• Rechargeable

• All the ones written in the features above are met.

• Strong Suction

• Easy to Clean

• Quiet motor

• Can be used up to 12 times a day.

Cons:

• No cycle, when you open it, it will be on the last setting of Expression mode you used.

Pump on my hand:

spectra 9+

Verdict: I love this pump! It is an 8/10 for me. The motor is strong and I did not feel any pain while using it. It is reasonable for its price. It is easy to hold because of its rectangular shape. I will recommend this to moms on the go because of its portability and its lightweight property. I bought this as pre-loved and technically this is about one and half years old but it still performs good. I think Spectra is also known for its durability so this is definitely a worthy pump.

Thank you for reading, please don't hesitate to message me, I will be very much willing to answer your questions or incorporate your suggestions. I can also use it to put a FAQ on this page. Thank you!
